Flowmeter Measurements
Curtis Scheele, full-time NRCS Irrigation Water Management Specialist in Holdrege, assists farmers with general irrigation or water management issues and concerns and also with new demonstration sites on their property, and cost-share programs.
Operators use flowmeters to gather valuable information to calculate quantities of water being applied to their fields.

Landowners can also take measurements with a propeller driven flowmeter. Permanent installation is necessary for measurements with the propeller driven flowmeter. Tri-Basin NRD offers cost-share for this type of meter under NSWCP cost-share practice NC-17.
