Improvement Project Areas
Tri-Basin NRD assists landowners in control of surface and groundwater drainage problems in Phelps and Kearney counties by managing an Improvement Project Area (IPA) at the request of landowners. Tri-Basin collects assessments from landowners in the IPA to perform project construction, such as culverts, and maintenance, such as channel cleaning.
Tri-Basin currently has six IPAs in operation: Whiskey Slough IPA, Fort Kearny IPA, Fort Kearny West IPA, North Dry Creek IPA, Sacramento Creek IPA and South Dry Creek IPA. The map below shows the location and boundaries of the six IPAs.
